Even though the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is around 5/6 months away, rumours are circulating about who will become an inductee. Obviously WWE won’t officially announce the Class of 2017 until early next year, but reports are suggesting that the company is already thinking of three names to add to the HOF.

The first name isn’t surprising at all, especially with his recent return. That would of course be Bill Goldberg. Goldberg became one of WCW’s biggest stars and won both the WWE and WCW Heavyweight Championships. He is mostly remembered for his impressive 173-0 undefeated streak, and thus became WCW’s most popular homegrown wrestler. He had a one year stint in WWE, and even though he was still a popular figure, his run wasn’t as memorable as in WCW. Goldberg was a huge influence in the Monday Night Wars and his recent return to WWE proves how much of a legend he is.

Another name being considered is also a former WCW Heavyweight Champion. Diamond Dallas Page was also a hugely popular figure in WCW and won the big gold belt three times. He also had a run in WWE after WCW went under, but his run id best not remembered. Not only was DDP a great wrestler, but he is also inspiration outside of the ring. Page has notably helped Jake Roberts and Scott Hall recover from alcohol addiction, so it’s only fair that his contributions inside and outside of wrestling deserve to be honoured. A DVD about Page is also set to be released just before the ceremony, so DDP being part of the Class of 2017 would not be shocking.

The final name being tossed around is former WWE Women’s and Diva’s Champion Mickie James. James shined in an era where many consider women in WWE as nothing more than models, and her wrestling skills rose above her looks. Mickie will be returning to a WWE ring in November, when she takes on Asuka for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Toronto. Rumours also suggest that the match won’t be a one-off, providing even more reasoning for her HOF induction. James is a brilliant wrestler, and she thoroughly deserves to being in the WWE Hall of Fame.

So, who do you think should be added to the WWE Hall of Fame? Do you think the names above deserve to be inducted?
