As previously reported, Raw General Manager Mick Foleh announced via Facebook last week that the Raw Women’s Championship match against Sasha Banks and Charlotte would main event Hell in a Cell this coming Sundah. However, he soon edited his post and said he isn’t aware of which match will headline the show, which prompted the whole Triple Main Event fiasco.
According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio, there are a lot of people in WWE who would like to see the women main event Hell in a Cell, but there are also a lot of higher ups in WWE who do not want them to main event the PPV.
There is a feeling that Banks against Charlotte has to go on either first or last at the PPV due to it being in Banks hometown of Boston and will be a huge crowd favourite on Sunday night! The feeling is that if the match goes on in the middle of the card, some fans might leave after it is over. If it goes on first it could set the tone for the evening, or WWE could make history even more by having it main event a PPV!
As of now, the true main event of the night remains undecided, but it will be one of the three Hell in a Cell matches.
