It is known that Zack Ryder sustained a knee injury on last week’s edition of Smackdown Live. He was injured just after becoming the #1 Contender for the Tag Team Championships alongside Mojo Rawley.

Ryder took to social media to update fans on his condition. Last Thursday Ryder had surgery to repair a ruptured patella tendon in his left knee. According to some posts on Snapchat, Ryder is already rehabbing at the WWE Performance center in Florida.

Ryder officially announced today via Instagram that he would be taking a break from the ring to recover. As of right now it looks like Ryder will be out of action for 4-6 months. Not the best timing considering The Hype Bros were becoming more popular on Smackdown Live.

The 434 will provide updates on Zack Ryder’s rehab and possible return to the ring as soon as they become available.
