Tonight Bobby Roode will challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the NXT Championship at NXT Takeover: San Antonio.

This is the first time since debuting on NXT that Roode will  challenge for the title. He earned his spot by defeating Roderick Strong, “Cien” Almas, and Tye Dillinger in a #1 Contender ship fatal 4-way match. This match could easily be a Match of the Year contender. But, I predict that it won’t be Nakamura walking out with the title. That’s right. My pick to win this match and become the new NXT Champion is Bobby Roode.

Since entering NXT Roode has been on fire. He, much like AJ Styles, was known as one of the greatest superstars not employed by the WWE. When he debuted fans knew it was only a matter of time before he would challenge for NXT’s biggest prize. Nakamura has been a phenomenal champion. I for one am a huge fan of his. But, Nakamura would do better with a shorter reign as Champion and a sooner call-up to the main roster. Hopefully Smackdown Live. With Roode as Champion it opens the door for many new opportunities in NXT. He could carry the brand for months to come. While Nakamura takes his talents to the main roster.

What do you think 434 fans? Is it time for Bobby Roode to become NXT Champion? Let us know in the comments!!
