Last Night on 205 Live “The Greatest Man that Ever Lived” returned to In-Ring Action.

Austin Aries made his much anticipated return against Tony Nese. Defeating his opponent and cementing his place in the Cruiserweight division.

Aries made his WWE debut last Summer in NXT. He was a serious contender for the NXT championship, but then the unthinkable happened. Aries was seriously injured at the hands (or I should say feet) of Shinsuke Nakamura.

Last October, Aries faced off against Nakamura at an NXT live event. There was a miscommunication when Nakamura was going for one of his signature kicks. Causing the strike to hit Aries harder than expected. The match was almost immediately ended when Aries made the X gesture with his hands (signaling a real injury). After undergoing medical examination it was revealed that Aries has sustained a serious Fracture to his orbital socket. Meaning he would be out of action the next 4-6 months.

Just about 5 months have passed and Aries is back in the ring! Hopefully we will see “The Greatest Man that Ever Lived” challenging for the Cruiserweight Championship sooner rather than later!
