In the immediate wake of the ‘Superstar Shakeup’, there is plenty of talk around about the future of various top stars on both Raw and Smackdown.

One of these stars is Smackdown’s biggest star, AJ Styles. Luckily for the blue brand, he has remained on Tuesday nights and looks set for a major push going forward. Many insiders and experts believe that a slow-burning babyface turn is already in play.

The Phenomenal One defeated Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin in the main event of the most recent edition of Smackdown Live to become the new number one contender for the US Championship.

Styles will likely be facing current champion Kevin Owens if he can defeat Chris Jericho in three weeks time at WWE Payback, but plans do not seem to indicate that the former TNA star will be staying in the midcard title picture.

According to Cageside Seats, the AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens feud for the US Title will be a short one to kill time before the former is inserted back into the WWE Title picture once Bray Wyatt moves to Monday Night Raw.

This is certainly exciting news for fans of Styles, who many believe should have had a higher place on the card at Wrestlemania 33 after a standout 2016. Being placed into a high-profile feud with Randy Orton, and perhaps regaining the top title in the company, is exactly what fans enjoy most about Smackdown.

How far do you think AJ Styles can go on Smackdown Live? Are you excited for his upcoming feud with Kevin Owens?
