Since moving to Monday Night Raw, Bray Wyatt has been involved in some big matches, but he’s been kept out of the WWE Universal Title picture. He’s been feuding with Seth Rollins and the rivalry with Finn Balor seems to be back on. However, their feud may not last very long.
At Great Balls of Fire, Wyatt got a controversial victory over Seth Rollins and their rivalry has taken a backseat heading into Summerslam. It seem Balor vs. Wyatt will happen at the event instead, but WWE officials are finally planning to put Bray Wyatt into the Universal Title hunt.
It has been reported by CageSideSeats that WWE officials booked Wyatt over Rollins recently to give him some momentum for a new rivalry with Roman Reigns after Summerslam. There is still a lot of speculation about Reigns winning the Universal Title from Lesnar, so the powers that be are planning for The Eater of Worlds to rekindle their rivalry and be his first challenger.
The WWE Universe may not be happy about Bray Wyatt receiving a main event push just for him to put over Roman Reigns after Summerslam, but it’s an opportunity for Wyatt to prove his worth at the top of the card. It’s possible it could be the last time Bray needs to do so.
