At the end of the latest edition of WWE Raw, we saw Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins standing tall after defeating The Miz, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas.
This marked the first time the pair had teamed since The Shield split in 2014. They picked up the victory after Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on the IC Champion.
During the post-match celebration we saw The Architect put his fist out to try and emulate the old Shield pose, but Ambrose wasn’t having a bar of it. He rolled out of the ring and left Rollins standing alone to close the show.
Many insiders and fans have been speculating that Ambrose is going to turn heel on Rollins very soon, perhaps in the lead up to a match at Summerslam. That is not the case.
The plans are still for Ambrose and Rollins to face The Miz in a Triple Threat Match for the IC Title at Summerslam. If there is going to be a heel turn, the likelihood is it will come at the event or after it.
Rollins and Ambrose have had a plethora of great matches in the years since The Shield split, and it appears WWE is looking to go back to that rivalry in the coming months.
Would you like to see Ambrose and Rollins renew their lengthy rivalry? Do you see either man turning heel in the forseeable future?
