Any show featuring Brock Lesnar is one that will definitely sell tickets. Brock’s stereotype is that he makes very little appearances. Recently, however, Lesnar has been doing many live events. Although he is the RAW Universal Champion, he has been added to some Smackdown Live events as well as his WWE RAW appearances. Here is his schedule up until the end of September via wrestlinginc.com:
WWE Smackdown live event: July 29th (Detroit, MI, already passed)
WWE Monday Night RAW: July 31st (Pittsburgh, PA)
WWE Smackdown live event: August 12th (Tampa, FL)
WWE Monday Night RAW: August 14th (Boston, MA)
WWE SummerSlam: August 20th (Brooklyn, NY)
WWE Monday Night RAW: August 28th (Memphis, TN)
WWE Monday Night RAW: September 11th (Anaheim, CA)
WWE No Mercy: September 24th (Los Angeles, CA)
WWE RAW live event: September 30th (Winnipeg, MB)
For the added Smackdown live events, Brock Lesnar’s opponent will be Samoa Joe.
It is interesting to see Brock Lesnar appearing at both Smackdown and RAW live events. It is no secret that WWE live events have lacked attendance recently. Will this lead to more superstars being added to more live events? Will these added superstars boost attendance?
I don’t think adding superstars to the live event cards will help attendance too much. If it does help any, the change will be minimal. Adding superstars is a positive, though. It makes the show more exciting for people that do go to WWE live events. I may be wrong, however. Adding more superstars may boost attendance significantly. It doesn’t hurt to try. If it doesn’t work, then they can just pull the superstars back from the events. The recent United States title change at a live event was out of nowhere. More moves like that could boost attendance as well.
What do you think? Will this lead to more superstars being added to more live events? Will these added superstars boost attendance? Let us know!
