For a wrestler to go a long way in the pro wrestling business, it often starts with a strong entrance theme that reflects the character they are portraying.
If you look back at the biggest stars in the history of WWE, they all have great and iconic music. Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Undertaker and Hulk Hogan. Their music is so recognisable and it is a part of their character’s. It’s engrained into the minds of fans to know who is who based off their music.
Today in WWE there are a plethora of really good entrance themes. They may not be at the iconic level of the names mentioned prior, but they fit the characters well and are appreciated by fans.
So, I thought I’d have a go at picking the best ten theme songs in WWE today. You might not agree with all of them, and you might not agree with the order they are in. But appreciate that all of these songs connect with many fans and are quite simply…glorious.
As a disclaimer, performers such as Undertaker, Ric Flair and Triple H are excluded despite still having strong affiliations with the company and making sporadic appearances.
Without further ado, The 434 presents the top 10 current WWE theme songs.
10. The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) – ‘Omen In The Sky’
Really good song. It’s catchy, but still has a gritty feel to it that suits the former Bullet Club members. The lyrics portray what The Club were originally about in WWE, and that was to ‘conquer and divide’.
If only they were pushed in a manner that allowed more fans to hear it after a match and not just during their entrance.
9. Cedric Alexander – ‘Won’t Let Go’
This theme resonates well with the character of Cedric Alexander. He has a never say die attitude and competes with 110 percent every time he steps through the ring. This is reflected through the words and tempo of his entrance music.
It has a nice upbeat feel to it which meshes well with the cruiserweight’s personality and athletic ability in the ring.
