A huge episode of NXT this week saw Asuka relinquish the NXT Women’s Championship and progress to the main roster in a heart-warming moment, Kassius Ohno took on Hideo Itami in a brutal No Disqualification Match and Andrade Cien Almas looked to avenge his loss to Cezar Bononi.

Andrade Cien Almas defeated Cezar Bononi. Grade: C. A good win here for Almas continues his momentum with his new alliance with Zelina Vega who provided some more insight into her goal and purpose on commentary. As a side note; all Percy Watson could do was imply that Vega & Almas were sleeping together, pathetic and not even remotely funny if that was the objective, all it did was serve to undermine their whole gimmick, what is that guy even doing on commentary?

Lars Sullivan is in the ring for a 3 on 1 handicap match, he tells the referee he wants all three men in the ring at the same time. Seconds into Sullivan destroying these three there appears to be an editing mistake (or perhaps it’s just my stream?) as it cuts straight to a taped message from Sanity promising Chaos. A rare but poor editing mistake here it seems.

Sonya Deville defeats Zeda. Grade: B- A quick match showcasing just how dangerous Deville is. With her MMA style and gimmick backed by her legit MMA experience, she can be a real player in the NXT Women’s Division; she carries herself wonderful and she feels like a legit Bada**. The sky is the limit for Sonya Deville. I’d love to see her continue winning matches with different MMA submissions each time.

Kassius Ohno defeated Hideo Itami in a No Disqualification Match. Grade: B. A good No DQ that started and finished strong but the middle got perhaps a bit slow. Kassius Ohno went for a rolling elbow but Itami countered it destroying Ohno’s elbow with a steel chair. Itami hit a beautiful fisherman’s suplex on the steel entrance ramp and a brutal hesitation dropkick with a steel chair. Ohno hit perhaps the biggest low blow ever seen and hit another Rolling Elbow for the victory. Ohno winning with help from a low blow is symbolical. Hopefully the feud isn’t over because these two are capable of much more, unless WWE has bigger plans for both men at the moment.

Announced for next week is Pete Dunne defending his UK Championship against Wolfgang, and Ruby Riot will get a match against both Billie Kay & Peyton Royce with her choice of partners.

Asuka relinquishes the NXT Women’s Championship. Grade: A+. William Regal puts over Asuka on the mic calling her the greatest champion in NXT history. He announces that they have started negotiations with the General Managers of both Raw & Smackdown, and that the rest of the world is going to learn that Nobody is Ready for Asuka! The entire NXT locker room comes out and applauds Asuka; Ember Moon comes to the ring and the two arch rivals embrace each other; with both women fighting back tears Triple H even made his way to the ring and presented Asuka with flowers. Just an incredible moment. This was the perfect way for Asuka to depart NXT; obviously it’s a shame she is injured but she is still undefeated, the NXT women’s division can move on and push someone else, and upon her return she will be the biggest thing in women’s wrestling. What an amazing moment
