The WWE Hall of Fame is where wrestlers get immortalize. There, all the wrestling community celebrates the career of the wrestler getting inducted. The moment that happens, they come part a very distinguished and small group of the best product the wrestling industry had. However, there are a few wrestlers or celebrities that did not earned their spot to be immortalize in the WWE Hall of Fame; while other that truly earned their spot still haven’t got a nomination to become part of the “Gods of Wrestling”.

Among the sea of wrestlers that deserve a spot, there is a truly bizarre one; member of the Rhodes Dynasty and the most bizarre superstar in the history of wrestling, Goldust. The way Goldust evolved is truly amazing. He debuted in 1988 carrying his family name performing under the name of Dustin Rhodes. Under his 29 year career, he has developed many gimmicks: Dustin Rhodes, Dustin Runnelz, Dusty Rhodes Jr., Lord Goldie, Black Reign, among others; but his true masterpiece is Goldust. In the craziest era of wrestling, he successfully developed a transvestite and extremely sexual gimmick that separated his name from the Rhodes family and catapulted him as his own man.

Goldust wrestled the most important wrestlers of different eras. During 29 years, he has shared the squared circle with: Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Roddy Pipper, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Booker T, Christian, Mankind, Randy Orton, Triple H, Batista, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, CM Punk, Kane, Big Show, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Alberto Del Rio, among many other wrestlers. Goldust is one of the few wrestlers that wrestled during the Golden Era, New Generation Era, Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression Era, PG Era, Reality Era and New Era. He has faced the best wrestlers of every single era. His in-ring skills and persona has evolved constantly until The Goldust we know today.

This is the list of his gold achievements during his career: 3 time WWE Intercontinental Champion, 2 time WWE Tag Team Champion, 1 time WWE World Tag Team Champion, 9 time WWE Hardcore Champion, 2 time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, 2 time WCW World Tag Team Champion, 1 time WCW World Six-Man Tag Team Champion, NWA World Tag Team Champion, among many others.

During his career, Goldust has worked under different roles and performed flawlessly under every one of them. He’s been an influence for many wrestlers that are actively today and a pioneer of wrestling. He caused a huge impact in the wrestling industry. Without Goldust, 90’s wrestling would not have been the same.

Goldust earned the accolades to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the future. His father was a legend, Goldust is a legend and his brother Cody Rhodes it’s on his way to becoming a legend. Everything the Rhodes touch, they convert it into art. Dustin Runnels (Goldust’s real name) was born with wrestling in his DNA and he damn sure revolutionized the wrestling industry; and he did it on his own terms. For the impact he has caused in the wrestling industry, the generations he inspired, the incredible fact that he wrestled in 6 different wrestling eras with the best wrestlers, his golden achievements and for being the most bizarre wrestler in the history of this business, WWE should induct Goldust into the WWE Hall of Fame. Because there will never be someone, like Goldust.
