205 Live was built around Kalisto’s birthday with The Luchador taking on Drew Gulak as a warm up match ahead of his rematch for Enzo Amore’s Cruiserweight Championship on the Survivor Series Pre-Show. Hometown boy Cedric Alexander teamed up with Rich Swann to take on The Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher & Mustafa Ali battled Ariya Daivari.

Cedric Alexander & Rich Swann defeated The Brian Kendrick & Jack Gallagher in a Tornado Tag Team Match. Grade: B- A PPV rematch saw the hometown boy Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann get the best of 205 Live’s resident tag team. A good match was allowed time to build nicely; while it’s good to win Cedric a win in his hometown one must wonder where this tag team of Kendrick & Gallagher is going given the fact they consistently lose.

Mustafa Ali defeated Ariya Daivari. Grade: B- Both men cut corny promos before the match which fell flat and absolutely no one found funny. Ali had to battle through an injured back throughout the match which was a story both men worked well but ultimately Ali was too strong picking up a good win.

Kalisto defeated Drew Gulak. Grade: B. Before the match Enzo & Gulak cut a promo on Kalisto’s birthday and the birthday decorations around the win. Enzo didn’t have much material to work with here but Gulak continues to be comedic gold. Kalisto got the win ahead of Survivor Series and fought back after the post-match attack sending Enzo running to safety. Kalisto wasn’t going to let Enzo get away that easily chasing him down backstage and planting Enzo in his birthday cake because of course when there is birthday cake, someone has to go through it. As a side note; how did that Birthday Cake get from ringside to backstage so quickly, or was there two cakes and I just missed something?
