4. Mick Foley
I love me some Mick Foley. Am I a little biased because he’s a Long Islander just like yours truly? Maybe. Is Mick Foley awesome? Definitely. Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy was the king of reinventing his character. He was so good at it, he entered the Royal Rumble as three different characters and nobody could tell! (Everybody could tell…he got eliminated all three times…poor Mick). Despite those shortcomings in 1998, Mick Foley would win his first WWF Championship on January 4, 1999, defeating The Rock on Monday Night Raw. That was all well and good. He won his second in that AWESOME Empty Arena match later that month, also against The Rock, which aired during the halftime show of Super Bowl XXXIII. The Hardcore Legend, between his 3 personalities (Mankind, Dude Love, and Cactus Jack) won 3 WWF Championships in total, 8 Tag Team Championships (1 with Steve Austin, 1 with Chainsaw Charlie, 1 with Al Snow, 2 with Kane, and 3 with The Rock), and, ironically, only 1 Hardcore Championship. Foley was also inches close to winning the IC Championship from Randy Orton at Backlash 2004 as Cactus Jack. Remember when he threw Randy onto the tacks as a counter to the RKO? SICK! Ultimately, Orton pulled the win off and Foley remains only a Triple Crown winner, which is nothing to be ashamed of, especially given Foley’s other illustrious career accolades. Mick coming back to complete the Grand Slam is unlikely…the guy has no teeth. Oh yeah and he’s had MILLIONS OF OTHER INJURIES THAT IT’S A MIRACLE HE’S STILL WALKING. Keep enjoying your retirement, Mick. You’ve earned it. BANG BANG!
