As Final Battle fast approaches, Silas young secured his spot at the biggest ROH PPV of the year when he took on Jonathan Gresham, the Addiction brawled with War Machine and Bullet Club took on four men with nothing to lose led by Flip Gordon.
Silas Young defeated Jonathan Gresham. Grade: C+ Gresham toyed with Young early on with some good comedy spots, however once things got going Beer City Bruiser at ringside made his impact felt and Silas Young was able to pick up the victory. This confirms the final field for the Ring of Honor Television Title Four Corners Survival Match at Final Battle; it will be Kenny King defending against Punishment Martinez, Shane Taylor and Silas Young.
Next week Motor City Machine Guns will defend their ROH Tag Team Championships against The Kingdom.
War Machine & The Addiction Brawl. Grade: B+ War Machine came out for a match but were jumped by the Addiction. They brawled at ringside before Frankie Kazarian was thrown like a dart into the crowd nailing a fan and busting her face open. They did a great job of making this seem like it wasn’t supposed to happen, swearing and having it bleeped and the like. Fantastic work here.
Coleman’s Pulpit with Kenny King. Grade: B. The former Rebellion brothers sat down with Caprice Coleman insulting Kenny King’s family implying that he was ‘Pimping’ out his daughter and being used for ratings. That fired King right up who showed great emotion and issued a challenge to face Coleman for the TV Title next week. Coleman looked satisfied like that was his plan the whole time.
Bullet Club (Young Bucks, Adam Page & Marty Scurll defeated Flip Gordon, Scorpio Sky & Coast to Coast. Grade: A. Cody made his presence felt at ringside but was quickly rejected by the senior referee. There was multiple awesome sequences including one between Nick Jackson and Flip Gordon, a ‘Bullet Train’ on Scorpio Sky where the Hung Bucks would score but The Villain would get caught, before a quadruple Superkick and Flip Gordon going for a Suicide Dive but getting nailed with a quadruple Superkick. The finish was a crazy double Meltzer Driver and Indy Taker! Absolutely crazy action showcasing how incredible all eight of these men are! Unbelievably fun match, that was awesome.
