Zelina Vega presents the NXT Championship celebration of Andrade Cien Almas, The Riott Squads Ruby Riott and Absolutions Sonya Deville meet in a No Holds Barred Match, and Killian Dain battles Trent Seven and Johnny Gargano faces Kassius Ohno for the right to compete in a fatal four way to become the new number one contender for the NXT Championship.

Andrade Cien Almas NXT Championship Celebration. Grade: B. Zelina Vega praised the new NXT Champion before Andrade Cien Almas basked in the glory and cut a good promo in Spanish. Almas at his best is one of the best wrestlers on the planet, and he is a guy who can hold down the top of the NXT card for a long time to come.

Killian Dain defeated Trent Seven to qualify for the number one contenders match. Grade: B- Two of the best in the United Kingdom battled it out in a hard-hitting match; another dominant performance from Killian Dain who is being built as an absolute beast, particularly after his outstanding performance in War Games.

Undisputed Era cut a promo backstage where they announce that next week Adam Cole will face Aleister Black in a Fatal Four Way qualifier and in two weeks Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly will face Sanity for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Sonya Deville defeated Ruby Riott in a No Holds Barred Match. Grade: C+ While certainly a good match, this just made no sense. As odd as it was I liked the idea of the commentators playing up the submission game of both competitors. Why is the least important member of Absolution beating the leader of Riott Squad? Was Riott meant to be a babyface here? If so where is that contingency? Just makes no sense.

Pete Dunne vs Tyler Bate for the WWE United Kingdom Championship is announced for two weeks’ time. As amazing as these two are together, delivering two of the best matches of 2017, WWE is at risk of overdoing this feud too soon, especially with matches on regular NXT TV. Also announced for next week is Peyton Royce vs Ember Moon.

A new arrival to NXT is quickly hyped up. Let us know who you think it could be?

Johnny Gargano defeated Kassius Ohno to qualify for the number one contenders match. Grade: A- Trust Johnny Wrestling to help produce the best match if Kassius Ohno’s NXT career. Ohno beat the living hell out of Gargano here; the ultimate babyface Gargano was battered with absolutely brutal kicks, forearms and elbows, but Gargano was able to never give up and counter into the Gargano Escape for the win. I’ve been very critical of Kassius Ohno in NXT, but he was outstanding here, and Gargano proved once again why he a legit top 10 wrestler in the world, maybe higher.
