Hideo Itami made his 205 Live debut as he took on Colin Delaney, the team of luchadores Kalisto & Gran Metalik battled Jack Gallagher & The Brian Kendrick and the main event saw a rematch form Monday Night Raw as Cedric Alexander faced Drew Gulak.
Kalisto & Gran Metalik defeated Jack Gallagher & The Brian Kendrick by Disqualification. Grade: B- Tag Team action opened the show with Gallagher & Kendrick getting themselves disqualified by refusing to stop beating on the Luchadores. They targeted The King of the Ropes leg as they left their opponents devested. All four of these men must be used further on 205 Live as they are four of the best on the show.
Hideo Itami defeated Colin Delaney. Grade: B+ Exactly the 205 Live debut that Itami needed, however it could have been done against a more notable name than the former ECW superstar Delaney. Please fans, I miss him too, but please stop chanting CM PUNK when Itami hits the GTS.
Cedric Alexander defeated Drew Gulak. Grade: B+ A really good main event match, Gulak & Alexander definitely both delivered with a high-quality contest. Enzo was as loud as ever at ringside which is exactly how he should be, in possibly the worst outfit I’ve ever seen. Gulak hesitantly went to the top rope, which goes against everything he stands for with his No Fly Zone, only to get pulled off and finished off by Cedric for the second night in a row. Good momentum building victory for the number one contender, and hopefully the hesitation on the ropes that costs Gulak can be played up further in the future. Ariya Daivari tried to attack Cedric from behind but got nailed by Cedric as Enzo backed off.
